String Quartet Wedding Ceremony Music at the Chapel at Beaver Creek, Music by Flute and Strings by Christen Stephens, Photos by Calen Rose

On a crisp February day, our string quartet traveled into the Colorado mountains to perform at the charming Chapel at Beaver Creek for a magical winter wedding. The chapel was draped with sumptuous floral displays, including fragrant tree installations, created on-site from real branches. Our string quartet added an elegant touch as guests arrived, showcasing the couple’s personality through live music while enhancing the warm, celebratory setting.

Colin Cowie Lifestyle coordinated the event and described the celebration this way: “Where winter romance meets high style. A breathtaking wedding celebration complete with a chic ice bar, a cascading champagne waterfall, a lively dance floor, and of course a special guest appearance by a reindeer.✨”

And yes - it was all that and more!

As the doors opened to welcome the guests, our string quartet set the mood with a fresh mix of contemporary music chosen by the couple. The prelude included “Diamonds” by Rihanna, “Ordinary” by Alex Warren, “Golden Hour” by JVKE, “Sunflower” by Post Malone, “Yellow” by Coldplay, “Lover” and “Today Was a Fairytale” by Taylor Swift, and “Butterflies” by Kacey Musgraves.

For the processional, the family and large wedding party entered to “2009” by Mac Miller. After the officiant announced the bride, she walked down the aisle with her father to “She’s Everything” by Brad Paisley. I created custom string quartet arrangements of both songs, and our string quartet gave them a romantic and timeless feel.

As the ceremony concluded, our quartet launched into “Wildest Dreams” by Taylor Swift, and the newlyweds made their joyful walk back down the aisle to cheers and applause. It felt like the perfect final scene from Bridgerton—the kind where everything turns out exactly as it was meant to. We kept the energy going with lively postlude music as guests departed the chapel and gathered outside for photos.

The celebration continued at The Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch, where the couple’s winter wedding vision came fully to life. As promised, the festivities included a chic ice bar, a cascading champagne waterfall, a packed dance floor, and even a charming reindeer—the perfect finishing touch for this unforgettable winter celebration.
