 I have a passion for playing music because I love to see the joy that it brings to others, and through it I can be expressive and creative. I play live music in many different styles suited to a variety of events including private parties, corporate events, banquets, wedding ceremonies, and church.  I love to teach music because I want to share the wonderful world I enjoy with children and adult students alike. I teach private flute, piano, and recorder lessons out of my home music studio in Wesley Chapel, NC. I give my students opportunities to explore music by having them learn styles of music that interest them, and by encouraging them to participate in recitals, ensembles, and competitions.  I am a professional flutist, pianist, and cellist, and I have been teaching and performing for over fifteen years. I learned the flute first and loved it so much that only a few years after beginning lessons, I decided I wanted to invest in a career as a musician. Not long after, I learned to play the piano, and now I am taking cello lessons. I received a degree in Music Education with a focus in flute from UNCC. I was trained as a classical musician but later learned to play in a variety of styles including jazz, Celtic, and pop. I now continue to teach out of my home studio and play live music across the Charlotte area. |
